I had an email this morning to let me know that I had won the Wedding Industry Awards' Wedding Cake Designer Award (South West) for 2022!
To say that I'm delighted is an understatement! I was up against some really good designers across the whole of the South West. That covers a lot of wedding cake designers!
Put this together with the Runners Up award earlier this year, and it's definitely been a good year so far!
A huge thank you to everyone who voted for me. I can't thank you enough for your help and support.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who came to the Wedding Show at Plymouth Guildhall yesterday and who came to say hello.
It was great to see some previous customers, some current customers and hopefully, some customers of the future too!
Making a cake for a wedding is an enormous privilege to me. I feel very lucky that so many people want me to make the cake for their big day.
It was so exciting to see so many people, each at very different stages of their wedding journey yesterday. Some are just starting. Some are well into their preparation, and for some, the wedding is now on the horizon.
Whether you become a customer of mine or not, I hope you have the very best wedding day that you can possibly have, and a fantastic life together in the future.

I'm going to be exhibiting at the Extravaganza Wedding Fair in Plymouth's Guildhall this coming Sunday - 16th January.
Will I see you there? There are going to be a lot of fab wedding suppliers there this weekend, and it's a great opportunity to come along and meet everyone.
I'm going to be running a competition on the day to win some cupcakes, I'll have some cupcakes there with me for people to taste, and for those of you yet to book your wedding cake, I'll have a pretty fantastic offer for you!

I'm a finalist!

I've been notified today that I'm a Finalist in the South West Wedding Awards under the category "Wedding Cake Designers of the Year"!
As you can imagine, this has made me pretty happy!
Getting to this stage is a direct result of nominations by couples whose wedding cakes I have designed and made. I can't tell you what a great feeling that is.

I'm delighted that I've been named as one of the preferred wedding cake suppliers for the Horn of Plenty Country House Hotel near Tavistock.
If you haven't been, you should. It's stunning, the food there is amazing, and the staff really make it a pretty sensational wedding venue.
And I should know - it was where I got married back in 2015!
